Helps me reach my daily protein goals

This milk protein powder is a great way to reach my daily protein goals. It tastes just like a regular unsweetened dry milk, if you like your drink to be a bit more sweet, you can always add your own sweetener without adding calories. It doesn't mix too well if you use a spoon, but I use a handled milk frother and found it easy to dissolve that way. It's also easier to dissolve it in warm liquid other than in cold liquid.I've been mixing it to a cup of coffee in the morning, it makes my coffee creamy at the same time that it adds protein! Win win! Good value for money.

Keto, nonfat powdered milk

I've tried expensive fortified cow milk that includes extra protein in it, and it's pretty good. I could kind of get spoiled by it. One of the best uses of this milk protein concentrate powder may be to simply mix it into normal milk to make your own high protein milk, if you would find it convenient to do that using a powder. For that matter, if you're not vegan you could blend it into any type of plant milk you like to make a custom blend. I haven't tried that but now that I realized I can do that I am sure I will since I have a nut milk maker machine and like to make my own almond milk. I'm a vegetarian, plus I fast often, and need to pay a certain amount of attention to getting enough amino acids. This milk protein powder is one way. This powder has no lactose in it. Lactose is milk sugar. This milk protein concentrate powder has NO sugars or carbs whatsoever. That makes it very "keto." It should be good for people on a "keto" diet or fasting. I tried it in hot instant coffee, blending it in with a handheld coffee frother gadget, and verified that it makes a pretty good "keto" creamer. I kind of missed the lactose and fat but it was still better than black instant coffee, and I could have added some sugar free coffee syrup or allulose to it and made a sort of keto latte to my tastes. I did not need to add a ton of it, perhaps a teaspoon or two.I also tried adding milk protein powder to a cream gravy I made to go on vegetarian "chicken" nuggets and mashed potatoes, just to enrich the sauce and make it more nutritious. I just dumped it into the gravy on the stovetop and tried to whisk it in, it was kind of clumpy but eventually dissolved. It would have worked better to whisk it smoothly into a smaller amount of warm water before adding it to my gravy. This powder does not have a very distinctive taste other than fresh milk. This product is what it says it is, and is good quality. It's a specialty product and may not be the most economical choice.

Protein powder

I realize I didn't exactly know what this was when I ordered it. I thought it was a lactose free milk replacement. It seems it's actually a protein powder. I’ve been using it in my morning oatmeal and it doesn't noticeably change the flavor but the oatmeal does come out a bit creamier. It is nice to have the extra protein boost combined with the fiber to keep me full.Review for Healthier Comforts Lactose Free Milk Protein Concentrate Powder (Unflavored) | 80% Casein, 20% Whey | High Protein, Non-GMO, Hormone Free, Kosher, Gluten Free | Baking, Creamer, Shakes (12oz) (12 Ounce (Pack of 1))

Creamy and relatively easy to mix into drinks or baking goods

This product is creamy. If you have a frothing whisk or a standard hand, whisk it mixes very easily into a warm product. It also works quite well in a blender if you’re making a smoothie and if you have one of the more current style milkshake or frozen drink makers that doesn’t require ice. It can work in that too, but I would recommend that you do a little pre-mixing with a small amount of warm water to make it dissolve more easily. The bag is resealable, and the seal definitely works quite well ensuring that you will have freshness for an extended period. This is definitely a decent way to add a decent amount of protein to any beverage or cooking that you might be doing without adding dairy if you are someone who is lactose intolerant. At $15 MSRP, this isn’t a bad deal.

Making A Food Or Drink Protein Packed Is Easy And Prevents Unnecessary Snacking

Healthier Comforts Lactose Free Milk Protein makes it easy to add protein to products that you consume on a daily basis including drinks, snacks, and homemade baked goods. The resealable bag holds 12 ounces of off-white colored powder with a similar texture of milk powder and a fragrance to match. The manufacturer thoughtfully provided 5 recipes on their website if you need inspiration on how to easily use the protein like I did. The recipes include:Protein Packed Berry Banana SmoothieHigh Protein Lactose Free Chocolate MilkLactose Free Sweetened Condensed MilkLactose Free Creamy Tomato SoupLactose Free Acai Chia PuddingI used the Milk Protein Powder to make the High Protein Lactose Free Chocolate Milk. Unlike the product packaging instructions of mixing 4 tablespoons of powder with 6-8 ounces of water, this recipe uses just 2 tablespoons of powder to 8 ounces of cold water and adds 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1-2 teaspoons of sweetener of your choice whether it is sugar, honey, or monk fruit. The manufacturer noted that I could use either a whisk or shaker bottle to make the milk but I used an immersion blender and found that it ensured that the powder blended effortlessly with the added cocoa powder and that it did not leave any residue remaining at the bottom of the glass. The bonus was that I was able to create a fluffy foam on the top of the milk to make the drink a little extra special. There was a hint of graininess in the texture of the drink that I am unsure is from either the milk protein powder or the cocoa powder. I found that this ratio was ideal for me. It is noticeably not as thick as a whole or even 1% milk but I could always add more milk protein if I desired a thicker texture. Regardless, I liked that I could customize the sweetness to fit my preference.  I also liked how easy it was to work with and incorporate a protein boost into my day to avoid excess snacking which I am guilty of. This Milk Protein Concentrate Powder would also be ideal to take when camping or backpacking and to include in an earthquake preparation kit to have access to protein and milk for that matter. The product only contains two ingredients: milk protein concentrate and lactase. There are about 9 servings per container with each 4 tablespoon serving containing 150 Calories, 0.5g Total Fat, 9g Total Carbohydrate, and 26g Protein. The manufacturer stated that the product is manufactured in a dedicated gluten free facility that also processes peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, and dairy. If you have a food allergy to any or all of these foods, please be aware. The manufacturer also states that the milk is sourced from farmers where grass is the primary feed for cows. It may be supplemented with Soy-Free, Non-GMO grain in the times that grass availability is insufficient. It is a Lactose-Free, High in Protein, Gluten Free, and Hormone and Antibiotic Free product. The product that I received has a best by date of 23 months from the date that I received it. Overall, I like how versatile this product is and the ease of making a food or drink protein packed is a big bonus for me. I will definitely add another bag to my Amazon cart when I run low.

Not what I expected, not creamy at all

I am familiar with other powdered milk from this brand. Those have left a very positive impression on me. However, this one misses the mark and doesn’t live up to the brand in my opinion.Firstly, this powder is a little more difficult to dissolve into water than the other powders. However, the real problem here is the flavor. This doesn’t really have a creamy or milky flavor to it. It doesn’t taste bad at all, but it just doesn’t taste like milk at all to me. You can’t even use it as creamer, unless you add three times as much as you would have any other. Actually, maybe IIt doesn’t taste bad at all, but it just doesn’t taste like milk at all to me. You can’t even use it as creamer, unless you add three times as much as you would of any other. Actually, maybe I could compare it to almond milk, without any of the additives. It just barely is there. Now it does have protein, and it has a good texture, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering this one again.

Best tasting protein powder I’ve used

I mix with milk and use as coffee creamer in my protein coffee. This is the best tasting protein powder I have used. My second time purchasing. I mix in with my sugar free pudding or use in my baked cheesecake for extra protein. Awesome product

I value the fact that this is LACTOSE FREE cows milk protein powder. I also appreciate that it is unflavored. So many protein powders are flavored and that makes it harder to use it in different ways. Unfortunately, like all protein powders it doesn't mix well. However, it mixes better than many others that I have tried. I will be ordering this from now on and NOT the others.

Blends Smoothly

’ve been using this lactose-free milk protein powder in my smoothies, oatmeal, and some baked recipes, and it has become a solid staple for me. The 80/20 mix of casein and whey provides a slow, steady protein boost without feeling heavy or chalky. The flavor is very neutral so it does not interfere with whatever I’m making, and it blends smoothly, especially in warm liquids. I like the clean ingredient list with non-GMO, hormone free, and gluten free components, which makes it feel like a simple, no-nonsense option. The only small drawback is that it can take a bit more stirring in cold drinks but it is manageable. Overall, it is reliable, versatile, and does exactly what I need it to do.

Good lactose free milk powder

This lactose free milk powder came in a resealable zipper bag which is very convenient that you can just zip it up after scooping out however much you need. The milk powder is very fine, free of lactose, and it's also non-GMO. It dissolved in warm water easily, there were a few clumps that I was able to press with the back of my spoon to get it mixed into the water. It tasted like regular milk, no difference than lactose free milk that I've had. The bag directions say to mix 4 Tbsp of milk powder with 6-8oz of water. I used 6oz. When I used cold water, it didn't dissolve so easily, perhaps I needed to put it in a shaker to shake it like the instructions say. I usually use milk powder in baking and this works very well in that, mixes in with my other dry ingredients well. Not only that it adds a milky taste to my baked goods, it also adds some protein to it. I love using it in my Hokkaido milk bread as well as Indonesian pineapple cookies. According to the nutritional label, 4 Tbsp has 26g of protein in it. It doesn't say to refrigerate, but I put mine in the fridge. A little below average on the value for money.

Not too much flavor beyond general "milk"

Generally, this is very gentle, versatile, and easy to use. It dissolves fairly well in liquid (though it sometimes takes some arm work to make sure there aren't clumps) but it mixes well with other powders.I have used this in baking, cooking, as well as coffee and tea, to add some extra protein and creaminess I find that I prefer it best when it is watered down if I have to taste the flavor, simply because I don't like that full milk taste very much. This product claims to have had the lactose removed, as well as adding lactase in the mix. Note that even these things might not fully get rid of all of the lactose in the milk. For me, it's best to still have this alongside other foods, and not on its own on an empty stomach. Sometimes it works for me, sometimes it doesn't. Note that if you have milk protein allergies to whey or casein, you might still have some issues with it, of course. However, it has worked well for my partner, who simply has issues with the lactose.

Doesn't mix well with a spoon

This organic protein powder has a fair amount of protein per serving and has a light milk taste. I wanted to use this powder in my morning coffee to increase my protein intake but I found it does not mix well at all with a spoon when adding to either hot or cold water. The powder left large clumps no matter how much I stirred and the taste was very unpleasant. I then tried adding the powder to a small bottle with water and was able to mix thoroughly by shaking. It's unfortunate that this doesn't mix better with a spoon but this is probably not the primary way that others will use this powder. Overall the taste was ok once I poured the mix from the bottle to my coffee but if you do plan on using this directly in beverages with a spoon it might not work well for you.

Good source of protein

I loved it. It's a bit tricky to get it smooth but it did its job

Pure, flavorless protein powder

I've always been happy with Healthier Comforts products, and this was no exception. This is such an easy way to slip a few grams more protein into everything. I mix it into lattes and coffees - that's the obvious stuff - but sometimes i even whisk it into alfredo sauce or clam chowder. The lack of flavor is, in those cases, a good thing. It just adds invisible protein, plus a slight thickening effect. It seems other reviewers expected it to be milk powder (and then are disappointed that it doesn't taste like milk powder), and I'm confused why. It's PROTEIN CONCENTRATE, made FROM milk. Says so right on the bag. It costs much more per pound than milk powder too. If you're after milk powder, buy a big ol' can of Nido. It's delicious, super milky, and much cheaper.I'm only very very mildly and occasionally lactose-intolerant, and this didn’t trigger any unpleasantness for me. But another reviewer mentioned their daughter was very upset with this product. So, in case you're severely intolerant and haven't seen that review, you've been warned.

practical protein option

I picked this up mainly to boost protein in my baking and coffee without adding sweetness, and it has been working really well for that. The powder blends smoothly into liquids and does not have much of a taste on its own, which is exactly what I was hoping for since I wanted something neutral. I have mixed it into coffee as a creamer alternative, added it to smoothies, and even used it in baking, and it does not change the flavor or texture in a noticeable way when used reasonably. It dissolves better than I expected with a little stirring or blending and does not leave a gritty feel. I also like that it feels filling and keeps me satisfied longer, especially when added to shakes or oatmeal. It has not caused any stomach issues for me, which is a big plus since I am sensitive to lactose. The container is on the smaller side, but a little goes a long way, so it lasts longer than I initially thought. Overall it feels like a practical, no fuss protein option that fits easily into everyday use without drawing attention to itself.

Worth it!

I'm lifitng heavy in the gym and taking my fitness and nutrition more serious. I make collagen matcha latte every morning and I wanted to find ways to add more protein to my drink so I decided to try this. Common sense will tell you that this won't dissolve well in cold water, but if you slowly add it to some hot water and use a milk frother you will be happy with the end product! This has more protein than "protein creamers" and it is less expensive and lactose free. My tummy feels happy, no bloating or weird feelings. Will continue to purchase.
