I think the cheese powder is best used on popcorn. I used it both in a dish and as a popcorn seasoning, and the cheesiness was really lacking in my cooked dish, but was perfect on the popcorn. The Healthier Comforts White Cheddar Cheese Powder is an extremely fine powder with a delicious cheese flavor. The flavor is rather mild though for cheddar. I mainly ordered it to eat on popcorn. It tastes very good, but takes a lot to get the flavor I want.

This white cheddar cheese powder is delicious! It has a rich cheddar taste with the perfect amount of salt. It tastes a lot better than others I’ve tried. There’s no chemical or artificial flavor or aftertaste. I like that it has few ingredients that are non-GMO and hormone and antibiotic free.I tried some of this with some vegetable oil on potatoes and it was amazing. It also tastes great on other veggies, popcorn, mixed in breading for proteins, and on pasta. I think introducing some kind of fat, like an oil or butter, can help bring out the flavor. I really think it needs a little fat, or at least some kind of liquid, to help bring it to life. It tastes a little bland on it’s own, I think because it doesn’t have additives that enhance the taste.This powder comes in a resealable zip top bag with a tear off top. I found that neither of those two things work too well, and I put it inside a separate resealable bag. The powder can also get messy because it’s very fine. If you squeeze the bag when it’s not sealed all the way, some product can come out and get all over everything. These are the only things I don’t like about it.This cheese powder can be measured and customized easily. It clumps a little in the bag, but it blends smoothly when mixed with fatsWhite Cheddar Cheese Powder. You can see into the bag through the window towards the bottom, so you know how much you have left. There is an expiration date on it, but it’s hard to see because it’s in black. Mine reads 09/2027. I like that this is shelf-stable and can be used in a pinch if you need it and don’t have any cheese around (or if all the cheese you bought you forgot about and it got moldy!) I’m very happy with it.(My photos were taken in different light. The color of the cheese powder is a very pale yellow closely resembling the photo of the window on the bag.)

Wow, this is a nice addition to popcorn and homemade mac & cheese, that also works exceedingly well for my very picky cat sprinkled on top of cat food. (I know cats are supposed to be lactose intolerant, but I don’t use all that much and he’s got the digestive system of a champion competitive eater.)

This cheese powder is a great pantry addition. It has a rich white cheddar flavor without being overpowering and is a nice way to add some flavor and salt at the same time. It works great to sprinkle onto popcorn, or mix into a sauce to add some extra depth of flavor. I like adding some of it to homemade alfredo because it helps act as a binder to hold the sauce together while also adding another type of cheese flavor to the sauce. It has a nice white to slightly off white color and was a reasonable value for the product. I've been happy with it.

I purchased this to use as a seasoning for popcorn. It barely tasted of cheese on my popcorn. I would not repurchase.

This white cheddar cheese powder came in a resealable zipper bag. Some cheese powder was stuck on the zipper, I had to tap it a few times to get the powder off in order to actually zip up the bag.This cheese powder is a fine white powder, not thick. Ingredients are: cheddar cheese (pasteurized milk, cheese culture, salt and enzymes), whey, salt, disodium phosphate and lactic acid. I appreciate that this is non-GMO and made in the USA. Would have been better if it were organic.Each serving is 2 Tbsp which gives 3g of protein, 540mg of sodium. This is not only great on plain steamed broccoli, it's also great on Mac & Cheese, and of course, popcorn. It is not a very strong cheese, but it sure is yummy. As with any cheese, it is a little salty but that adds umami to anything you add this cheddar cheese powder to. I like it that it's shelf stable and that I don't need to refrigerate it and that I can have white cheddar flavor whenever I want. The size of this is 7oz. Average value for money.

This is nasty tastes artificial put it on popcorn and just absolutely disgusting I threw it out. Overpriced and artificial cheese taste and not cheddar more like packaged dry powder in Mac and cheese

Tastes fine but not nearly as good or flavor as concentrated as King Arthur Cheese powder. No clumpiness, good for Mac and cheese or on popcorn. It’s alright but next time I’ll wait for the KA cheese to be available.

This cheese powder is great for adding to food you either don't want buy a whole block of cheese for, if you run out, or if you want to add cheese without a lot of moisture.It functions like any cheese powder where you can add it to dishes (mashed potatoes especially) and since it is shelf stable you can just have it around. Super easy to use as you don't need to rehydrate or anything if you're adding to stuff like mashed potatoes. No issues with clumping as it incorporates well and it's not too salty for something dehydrated.It's expensive, but because it can just hang around in your kitchen for when you need it, I don't mind the cost as it's great for emergencies and because you can use whatever you need to there isn't a risk of wasting a big block of cheese if you aren't the type to go through it quickly.

I put it on pop corn for a YUMMY low cal snack. And my granddaughter LOVED it too!I'm thinking of other applications too...

Cheese flavor was overpowered by the saltiness. It was okay but there are better alternatives.

The White Cheddar Cheese Powder is very mild, but tasty and very complimentary when paired with other seasonings. I used it one my popcorn with some Ghee and Dill Pickle seasoning. I was a huge hit at my house! The only thing I am not happy with is the cheap resealable bag. The zipper does not close. I recommend putting the whole bag in a airtight container. Other than that, I will definitely be a regular customer!

I have five kids and they like mashed potatoes. If I allowed it, we'd probably have mashed potatoes everyday. As it stands, I like to at least try to vary it a bit so I don't have to eat plain mashed potatoes constantly. This stuff is amazing for that. When I say I eat mashed potatoes, 99% of the time I mean I'm just eating mashed potato mix. I don't have time to constantly make mashed potatoes from scratch. I can just add this to the water and milk. I just mix it up and add the potatoes and I end up with white cheddar mashed potatoes. The kids like it. I like it. It's different. It's also easy.The best part of the whole thing is that it can just sit in the pantry. When I want to make potatoes, I just grab some of it.It doesn't really affect the color of the potatoes too much. That's not entirely surprising considering it's white. Mashed potatoes are white. They look about the same as they do without it. They taste different though.There's definitely some salt in there, but it tastes cheesier than it tastes salty. I'd say the saltiness level is pretty much perfect. It's about the same as cheddar cheese honestly.There are definitely other uses for it of course. I could definitely make mac and cheese with it. I'm probably going to order it again and use it for more things than just mashed potatoes. However, 7 oz of a disappeared pretty quickly with my five kids constantly demanding potatoes.As far as value for money goes, it's not bad. I wouldn't say it's an amazing deal. It's currently $11 for 7 oz. You are definitely paying something for the shelf stability. It would definitely be cheaper to just buy some cheese, but then it's cheese. It goes bad quickly.

This is a relatively unusual product. Essentially, this is just white cheddar cheese, rendered into a fine and easily mixable powder, while also being shelf-stable at cool temperatures. It is very easily to mix into anything that is liquid, soups, stews, and the like. While it does have a pretty good cheddar flavor, it is perhaps not as cheesey as I would like it to be. I added it to salsa to make kind of a nacho dip and that was quite good. It is a little more difficult to sprinkle it without dropping clumps of powder, however. Less than half a pound of cheese for eleven bucks may not be the best value, but it also is astonishingly convenient and easy to use which makes up for that. It doesn't have a strong odor, but for white cheddar I would not really expect it to.

It smells exactly like the white cheddar powder on white cheddar flavor popcorn, and the cheese packet that comes with boxed white cheddar macaroni and cheese. Tasted on its own, it tastes exactly the same as those things. It is great sprinkled on anything that you might want to sprinkle cheese on...popcorn, potatoes, vegetables. It's also good to make a quickie cheese sauce for stovetop mac and cheese. I like that it is shelf stable, hormone- and antibiotic-free, and made in the US. At the current price of $11.00 for the 7 oz bag, it is just an okay value as it is on the pricey side compared with other similar products.
