Turkey Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Butter Powder (reconstituted with 4 tbsp water)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups turkey drippings or turkey/chicken broth
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 4 tbsp of butter powder with 4 tbsp of room temperature water until smooth. Set aside.

  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the reconstituted butter. Once warm, whisk in the flour to create a smooth paste. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

  3. Slowly whisk in the turkey drippings or broth, a little at a time, until smooth.

  4. Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt as needed.

  5. Let the gravy simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until thickened to your desired consistency.

  6. Pour over turkey, mashed potatoes, or stuffing and enjoy!
