The advantage of using Butter Powder is not just convenience. Unlike fresh butter, it has a longer shelf life, is lightweight, and easy to store. It’s perfect for holiday cooking, camping trips, or simply keeping your pantry stocked with an always-ready butter alternative. With all the flavor and quality of real butter, this gravy is a delicious way to highlight your turkey and side dishes.
Ingredients
Directions
In a small bowl, whisk together 4 tbsp of butter powder with 4 tbsp of room temperature water until smooth. Set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the reconstituted butter. Once warm, whisk in the flour to create a smooth paste. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
Slowly whisk in the turkey drippings or broth, a little at a time, until smooth.
Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt as needed.
Let the gravy simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until thickened to your desired consistency.
Pour over turkey, mashed potatoes, or stuffing and enjoy!
